Between 1997 and 2002, the FXI published a weekly report on the state of freedom of expression in South Africa and, infrequently, in the rest of Southern Africa.
The first three editions of the Southern African Media Law Briefing are available on this site. The newsletter was published jointly by Article 19, the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) and the FXI, and was discontinued in 2002.
