Governance

The FXI's Annual General Meeting elects an Executive Committee once every two years, and receives its Annual Report and audited financial statements. The AGM also considers Constitutional amendments, where warranted.

The Executive Committee meets at least four times a year and develops policy for the FXI in line with the organisation's constitutional objectives. The Committee oversees the FXI in terms of a Human Resources Principles and Policies Manual, which is reviewed on an annual basis. There is significant experience and collective knowledge on many aspects of freedom of expression and the media in the Committee. The current Executive Committee (elected on the 24th June 2006) comprises of:

Mabalane Mfundisi (Chairperson)

Kate Skinner (Deputy Chairperson)

Andre Keet

Raymond Louw

Graham Bailey

Nobuntu Mbelle
